Painted ceiling

Maze

I was really disappointed in the maze. On entry a map was displayed and if like Ian you could memorise it, then to find the center was easy. It would have been more fun to do it with no help at all. Just to prove we made it to the centre a nice tourist took our picture for us.

A typical posed picture.

The view of Hampton Court from the back.

Golden Gates.

In the way again!!!

Gardens

Lion Gates

Gardeners shaping the trees.

Magnificent clock

What a clock. If you look closely it even tells you when the moon cycles occur.

Henry Tudor

As we walked from room to room we heard a shout "Make way for your King" I thought he made a very good Henry Tudor and by his side was Kathrine Parr his 6th wife.

Hampton Court

The Tudor court Kitchen. Henry v111 fed up to 500 people at a time so needed 5 whole beef cattle on the spit at one time. Now that's what I call a BBQ

My favorite part of the house. The wine cellar.

Thames Barrier

This shows one of the large defense walls in position if the barrier were to be operated.

London Visit

No dogs to worry about as they were still at Christines after our Antwerp visit. So we decided to go to London again and do a river trip to the Thames Barrier and in the evening to see Chigargo at the Cambridge theatre.

Ship in a bottle. Part of the London culture.

Trafalgar Square.
