Shelia's Gadabouts final chapter

On our last day ( Saturday ) we had the choice of going to Betws-y-Coed shopping or doing our own thing. We choose the latter. Ian wanted to experience the underground roadways of the Electric Mountain ( no photos as our camera and phones were confiscated until our return) and I fancied a walk around the National Slate Museum. We did both, as well as another punishing trek up the side of the slate quarry.

 Heading back to the hotel later that afternoon we had a quick look at the Snowdon railway platform. To think we could have gone up the mountain in a comfortable carriage rather then kill ourselves with the walk!

The last two nights in the hotel had no entertainment so we took it upon ourselves to be the entertainment instead.

Both evenings were a laugh a minute. Didnt matter that the voices were a little strained or the jokes terrible. We all had a great time and were very sorry that the trip had come to an end. We do it all again in November when most of the Gadabouts are off to Blackpool! Watch this space.
